As a longtime fan of TV shows and movies, I must say it feels like I’ve been through a rollercoaster of emotions lately! With so many familiar faces returning for another season, and others saying their goodbyes, it’s hard not to feel a mix of joy and sadness.
Euphoria fans will never, ever be happier.
Despite rumors suggesting that the much-anticipated third season of the show starring Zendaya might not happen, HBO has clarified that they are indeed moving forward with fresh episodes.

2019 saw the launch of a series centering around a bunch of teenagers from high school, who grapple with themes like drugs, sexuality, and trauma in an era dominated by social media. This groundbreaking show has been instrumental in catapulting several of its stars to stardom, including Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer.
After wrapping up season two in 2022, production on season three has been repeatedly postponed. This delay was due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023, as well as the unfortunate passing of Angus Cloud in July 2023. Despite these challenges, HBO announced that filming will finally commence in January 2025.
In October, Zendaya, who won two Emmy Awards for her portrayal of troubled teen Rue Bennett in a drama series, confirmed the continuation of the show by disclosing an essential aspect about season 3: it will unfold several years after the events that occurred previously.
She shared with Entertainment Weekly, “I’m not completely sure about what the upcoming season will entail, but I am certain that a time leap is taking place. This is crucial because there’s only so much teenage melodrama one can handle – ‘and then she cheats on her boyfriend…again!’
Which is why the prospect of fast-forwarding is so appealing to the Challengers star.
She went on to say it would be intriguing to explore these characters beyond their high school years, shedding light on how their past experiences shape their adult lives and personalities in a broader context. I’m eager to follow their journey as well.
