On November 9, the actress who was nominated for an Oscar graced the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked, held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, looking stunning and ready to impress.

Once again, just like before, Cynthia immersed herself in the character of Elphaba (also known as the Wicked Witch of the West), donning a strikingly memorable green, sleeveless leather floor-length dress.

37-year-old actress was accompanied by her “Wicked” co-star, Ariana Grande, on the red carpet. Grande embodied her character Glinda the Good Witch in a pink ensemble, and their friendship offscreen was evidently as strong as it is onscreen.

Wicked, derived from the popular Broadway musical, recounts the tale of the bond shared by Elphaba and Glinda, offering audiences a glimpse into events that unfolded prior to Dorothy’s arrival in the magical realm of Oz.

In essence, Cynthia shared that the opportunity to perform this legendary character was something she had doubted would ever materialize for her.

She confided in Vanity Fair for their November 2024 issue that she never thought she would be noticed during her initial audition for the part. Instead, she expressed a sentiment similar to, “I doubt this will come true, but I’m captivated by the notion of witnessing this musical.
