As a fashion enthusiast and someone who has followed Cynthia Erivo’s journey from the stage to the silver screen, I must say that her wardrobe for the “Wicked” premiere is nothing short of enchanting! Her ability to embody the spirit of Elphaba while maintaining a sense of style and individuality is truly magical.

Ariana Grande is dancing through life with a new name.

Following Ariana Grande-Butera’s choice to use her full name in her upcoming film “Wicked”, her father, Edward Butera, expressed a heartwarming response to this thoughtful act.

Ariana shared with Entertainment Tonight during an interview on November 12th that he became emotional. To clarify, she said “Wow, yes, he did cry. I caught him off guard.

In the movie adaptation of a Broadway musical, the performer behind “Positions” (who acts alongside Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, and Ethan Slater) ensured to record that touching scene on film.

She went on saying, “I discreetly captured him on my computer, you see. I mentioned needing to demonstrate some credit typography since he’s a graphic designer and he adores such things. He was taken aback, and it turned out to be quite an emotional moment as he even shed tears.

It was Jon M. Chu, the film’s generous director, who assisted Ariana in successfully executing the surprising blend of wickedness and heartfelt emotion.

She revealed, “Prior to his plan of sharing them with me, he unexpectedly sent over the credits. He understood that others would start noticing it shortly, and he was anxious that someone might discuss it prematurely, so we managed to surprise him.

Additionally, Ari elaborated on the reasons behind her choice to incorporate both her father’s and mother’s surname, Joan Grande, into the credits, rather than the name she has been known by throughout her professional life.

She remarked, “When I first watched Wicked, that was my name then.” She added, “This role and this project somehow guided me back to young Ari. I believe some parts of her may have been misplaced amidst the chaos of this industry, and I’m incredibly thankful for how this experience helped me find my way back.

I kind of just wanted to capture that,” she added. “It doesn’t feel small to me either.”

At the Oscars ceremony scheduled for March 2024, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have hinted at what to expect from the initial release of the movie “Wicked”, set to hit cinemas on November 22nd.

Erivo, wearing a green-tinted leather Louis Vuitton outfit adorned with scaly frills, looked prepared for both the glamour of the red carpet and combat. On the other hand, Grande, dressed in a pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown that seemed to have a touch of magic, evoked classic Hollywood elegance with its multiple layers: a peplum, a wrap, a bustle, and a train.

As a devoted follower, I hopped on the Wicked train that rolled into CinemaCon in April, with Grande joining me in a stunning white and pink minidress by Oscar de la Renta, reminiscent of a blossoming flower. Erivo, equally captivating, donned a green and silver Versace outfit, complete with eye-catching thigh-high satin boots.

Not the colors of dear old Shiz, but she has an open invitation to play Quidditch for Slytherin.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, the award for the best-dressed team was won by Wicked, with their stylish members being seen at various events throughout the games.

Initially, the Games commenced at the Opening Ceremony on July 26, with Erivo donning a strapless green Louis Vuitton gown featuring an awe-inspiring shape, and Grande wearing a powder-pink Thom Browne dress that would have earned approval from Audrey Hepburn.

At the 2024 Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ 4th Annual Gala, held on October 19th, I had the pleasure of being in the same room as Cynthia Erivo, who captivated us all with her rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” What truly caught my eye, though, was her stunning emerald gown designed by Naeem Khan. She looked absolutely radiant and wickedly good in it.

Another popular choice: Grande’s leather-trimmed polka dot ball gown courtesy of Balmain.

At a New York screening of “Wicked” on October 28, Cynthia Erivo complemented her casual outfit of a T-shirt and cropped jeans with eye-catching bright-green heels and a stylish Louis Vuitton coat featuring an interesting pattern.

Grandé was dressed impeccably for her initial day at Witch University, sporting a cream-colored Atelier Versace button-down vest paired with an equally stylish skirt of the same hue.

There seems to be some ambiguity about whether Ariana Grande traveled to the 2024 WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards in a mystical bubble, however, her intricately embellished white Vivienne Westwood dress suggested it could have been an enchanted voyage.

Meanwhile, Erivo wore an Erdem dress, a striking combination of gray pinstripes and embellished green silk, which had an enchanting blend of the Land of Oz and Wall Street.

At the November 3 Australian debut of “Wicked,” Grande dazzled in a grandiose manner, channeling her inner Glinda, wearing a stunning pink Vivienne Westwood ball gown.

At the premiere, Elphaba’s sinister future was hinted at by Erivo, who wore a sleek, strapless black dress from Louis Vuitton. She adorned herself with an imposing lion’s head choker and sported another dazzling green nail art.

As I stepped onto the vibrant yellow path, I couldn’t help but gush about my favorite ensemble. I told Vogue Australia, “This outfit truly resonates with who I am.” It whispers of freedom and challenging expectations, much like Dorothy soaring above Kansas. It feels as if I’m adorning wings and defying gravity itself.

At the November 5th “Wicked” photoshoot in Australia, Erivo enchanted once more. This time, she donned an emerald and black Marc Jacobs blouse and a black embroidered skirt.

Lastly, she divided the spectator’s gaze between her delicate headpiece and the tall, multi-strap Mary Janes, boosting her 5-foot-1 height by a good 6 inches.
