As a devoted admirer, I’m deeply saddened to share the news that the legendary actor, Timothy West, whose extraordinary career spanned over several decades and encompassed an impressive array of roles, has left us at the age of 90. His family has confirmed this heartbreaking information.
This star was famously associated with extended appearances on Coronation Street and EastEnders, along with numerous other acting gigs in theater and television.
West was married to Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales, who played Sybil in the comedy series.
The actor passed away tranquilly in his sleep, surrounded by his dear friends and loved ones.
Yesterday evening, our beloved father Timothy West passed away tranquilly during his sleep, concluding an extraordinary life that spanned both on and off the stage. At 90 years of age, he took his final bow.
It’s noted that Tim was surrounded by loved ones – friends and family – in his final moments. He departs behind his wife Prunella Scales, whom he shared 61 years of marriage with, a sister, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. We will all grieve him deeply.
