LEGO Horizon Adventures Sees Worst Ever Steam Launch for Sony with Just 602 Peak Concurrent Players

As a seasoned gamer who has traversed the digital landscapes of Concord and Until Dawn, I must admit that the launch of LEGO Horizon Adventures on PC has left me a tad disheartened. With my fingers poised over the keyboard, eagerly anticipating the next big adventure, the lackluster performance of this game is as dismal as the low concurrent player count of 602 on Steam.

Over the past few months, several PlayStation-published titles like “Concord” to “Until Dawn,” and more recently “Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered,” have underperformed on PC at launch. Sadly, “LEGO Horizon Adventures” has followed suit in this trend upon its release today, as it’s failing to draw a substantial number of players.

According to SteamDB, LEGO Horizon Adventures had only 602 players simultaneously online today, making it the game with the lowest number of simultaneous players ever published by PlayStation on Steam. This is even less than Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which had 610 concurrent players upon its PC launch in 2022, and that was a port released two years late. Interestingly, LEGO Horizon Adventures is a brand new release, while Sackboy was a belated port. Additionally, the simultaneous player count for LEGO Horizon Adventures is the fourth-lowest of any LEGO game ever released on Steam (out of 24 listed titles).

The game titled LEGO Horizon Adventures is playable not just on Nintendo Switch and PS5, but it’s particularly relevant to discuss its performance on Steam, a platform where the Horizon series has been successful. Unfortunately, its launch on this platform appears to have been challenging, to put it mildly. However, with the weekend approaching, Sony might expect to see some improvement in sales figures. Yet, one has to question how significant that improvement can be, considering the initial starting point.
