As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest offering from Crema, Temtem: Swarm, has piqued my interest like no other spin-off has done in years! Having dabbled in creature collectors and survival games alike, this intriguing blend of the two genres feels tailor-made for someone like myself.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the creators behind Temtem have launched a fresh title on Steam Early Access – a spin-off reminiscent of Vampire Survivors! Titled Temtem: Swarm, this exciting offshoot focuses on seven unique Temtem characters. The main objective? To survive an onslaught of escalating enemies, testing your skills to the limit!
In the pre-release edition, you’ll find yourself battling across five diverse arenas, facing off against ten minibosses and five major bosses. Each Temtem has its own distinct skill set, while gameplay also includes seven active abilities, 35 passive traits, and 35 synergies to discover as you progress. There are five unique events and a total of 342 in-game milestones called Kudos to achieve (in addition to Steam Achievements). You can choose to play alone or team up with up to three others in cooperative mode.
Swarm” will continue to be in its early access phase for roughly a year, with plans to release nine different maps, 13 Temtem characters (including Lumas and Umbra versions), around 140 techniques, and Challenge Modes. The ultimate aim is to incorporate all the Tems into the game, either as bosses, playable characters, or part of the Swarm. Keep an eye out for more updates in the upcoming months.
