As a storyteller and observer of human experiences, I find myself deeply moved by the journey of Francesca and Jesse. Their lives are a testament to resilience, love, and the power of hope. From the highs of their blossoming relationship and the arrival of their son Arlo, to the lows of struggles with fertility and the heartache of loss, they have navigated their journey with grace and determination.
When Francesca Farago and Jesse Sullivan express that they’ve always known they wanted to build a family together, it implies that this desire had been present in them from as early as their fourth date.
As a die-hard fan, let me share my own words about the heartwarming story of Jesse and his future spouse: “Things between us escalated rapidly,” I confessed during an episode of Colton Underwood’s podcast Daddyhood in March. “But I vividly recall we were driving, and our shared dreams started unfolding. We discussed our plans, what she desired, what I wished for. In that moment, we were sketching out our life together. It’s amusing because, almost three years later, we followed through with almost the exact plan we had devised then.
Though Jesse and Francesca had a well-laid plan, being young parents to Arlo at 16 didn’t make our path an effortless one.
After dating long-distance, taking a short break, and reconciling in 2022 following Francesca’s appearance on “Perfect Match”, the couple declared their engagement in April 2023. Not long after, they revealed that they would be putting off wedding preparations temporarily to focus instead on starting a family.
At TopMob’s 2024 People’s Choice Awards in February, Francesca expressed to Laverne Cox that she and her partner desire a grand wedding. However, she added a charming idea: it would be adorable if they held their baby or even twins during the ceremony. She hopes they can welcome a child first, then celebrate with a big wedding later on.
By then, Jesse, who publicly identified as transgender in 2019, and Francesca were well underway with their investigation into In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), a journey they decided to share on social media platforms.
In a 2023 YouTube video with Jesse, Francesca expressed her great enthusiasm about embarking on this journey together, as she understands that many people shy away from such processes. She mentioned that even Jesse was having trouble finding trans men who have gone through this specific experience, and there’s limited information available. Consequently, she assured their audience that they are here to help.
In August 2023, Jesse initiated the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedure, and coincidentally, his egg extraction was carried out on his 34th birthday.
Later on TikTok, Francesca revealed that eight eggs from Jesse were extracted. Of those eight, five became embryos and remarkably, three of them thrived. Now, we have three of Jesse’s embryos stored in the freezer.
Next month, the star of “Perfect Match” embarked on a series of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments herself. As shared on social media platforms, Francesca had around 50 eggs collected initially. Yet, she revealed on YouTube that her Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) led to fewer eggs being tested due to this condition. After setting aside 11 eggs for potential future donations, she further explained, they proceeded with testing 25 of her eggs.
Francesca said, ‘Of the eighteen embryos we had, all were viable. However, only eight of them could be transferred.’
On their social media platforms, the popular personalities disclosed that Francesca is set to bear a child, but unfortunately, they’ve had to push back the egg transfer from October 2023 due to an adverse response to the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment she experienced. This update was communicated via TikTok.
Approximately weeks following the February 2024 operation, the pair updated their 7 million TikTok followers by revealing that the embryo transfer had not resulted in a pregnancy. Francesca expressed her feelings on TikTok, stating, “Although no pregnancy occurred, we are mourning the loss of our baby girl embryo. All IVF women, you are incredibly strong. We hope and pray for success during our next attempt.
After going through a second embryo transfer in March, Francesca shared that she’s expecting a baby. On TikTok, she posted ‘I’M PREGNANT!’ on March 31, which coincided with Transgender Day of Visibility. She and Jesse chose this day to share their joy about the pregnancy with everyone who had accompanied them through their ups and downs. They were eager to include everyone in their happiness as they prepare for their family’s expansion, with Arlo set to be an amazing older sibling!
Weeks later, Francesca and Jesse confirmed they had not one but two babies on the way.
35-year-old shares twin pregnancy news on TikTok April 7: “We’re expecting twins! We’re getting ready for the best scenario.”
Apart from expressing her gratitude for the assistance provided by their social media followers, there’s one follower who stands out, as they offered valuable advice.
“I’ve discovered that my uterus and cervix might have some issues,” the 31-year-old explained. “A user on Snapchat reached out and suggested, ‘Hey, I lost my twins at 21 weeks. You should get your cervix checked.'”
Following this advice, Francesca scheduled an appointment. “This led to a flood of anxiety and medical consultations,” she continued. “I found out that I indeed have a short cervix.” However, she added, “It also meant the possibility of saving my future babies by preventing miscarriages.
Francesca openly shared on TikTok that she’s terrified daily about potential issues with her pregnancy, but at the same time, she expressed she’s never been happier. She and Jesse got to spread this joy to their loved ones when they organized a baby shower in July, revealing they were anticipating not one, but two babies – a son and a daughter.
Following a babymoon trip to the mountains in September and then settling into their house in October after a two-year renovation period, Francesca and Jesse prepared themselves for the arrival of their babies by making their new home cozy and comfortable.
Similar to how they regularly informed fans about her pregnancy, they also detailed the birthing process. Francesca mentioned that she had an emergency C-section and described the pain as the worst she’s ever felt during her life when she had blood clots removed.
Francesca shared on the March episode of Daddyhood that our relationship has been through many trials—from public reveals, long-distance periods, breakups, and make-ups. Each challenge we faced seemed to only strengthen us further,” Francesca said. “Our experiences with IVF brought us incredibly close, and even the embryo transfer process deepened our connection. We’ve proven ourselves unbreakable, but going through tough times together has made our bond even stronger because you truly stand by your partner during their most difficult moments.

Despite attempting to find love on various reality dating shows, including “Too Hot to Handle,” Francesca Farago discovered her ideal partner, Jesse Sullivan, while hosting an online event for TikTok during Pride Month. Two years since their initial encounter, Francesca and Jesse were thrilled to embark on a fresh journey together. In a May 2023 Instagram post, Francesca announced joyously, “WE’RE ENGAGED! … our family… what is life!!”. Fast forwarding to early 2024, the couple expressed their eagerness to start a family before their wedding. During an interview with Live From TopMob host Laverne Cox at the People’s Choice Awards in February, Francesca shared her hopes for a big wedding and a possible baby or two present at the ceremony: “I think it would be adorable if we had a baby or even babies at our wedding. So, let’s hope we can have a baby first and then plan the wedding afterwards.
As anticipated, Francesca and Jesse, who is Arlo’s father from a past relationship, shared that they were planning to increase their family. On Instagram, March 31st, Francesca wrote: “We wanted to share this wonderful moment with everyone, marking a significant step in our lives. We’ve walked through the hardships together, and we couldn’t wait for you all to join us as we celebrate the good times. I am still quite early in my pregnancy, but there are many more exciting developments ahead! We’re thrilled to be welcoming a new addition to our family, with Arlo acting as the most awesome big brother!
