In simple terms, the outcome for Strictly Come Dancing’s glitzy Blackpool Week has been disclosed, leading to yet another contestant from the 2024 cast being dismissed from the contest.
In a close call, opera singer Wynne Evans and his dance partner Katya Jones ended up in the lower half of the public’s votes, and Olympic athlete Montell Douglas along with her partner Johannes Radebe also faced elimination during the dance-off.
In the end, it was Wynne and Katya who concluded their Strictly dance adventure within the opulent ballroom situated inside Blackpool Tower. The consensus among all four judges was that Montell and Johannes deserved to move on to the following week’s performance.
Following the decision, Evans expressed his feelings to the host of Strictly, Tess Daly: “It’s been fantastic, I must say. Strictly seems to be exactly what it’s about. If someone like me, who could make it to week nine, can dance and enjoy it, then anyone can step out there and have a fantastic time dancing.
This family is so exceptional, so valuable, that I fervently wish everyone present here and those at home would cherish and protect it for future generations. It’s truly remarkable and a joy beyond words.
Katya Jones, his dance partner, shared: “Honestly, I’ve been grinning from ear to ear ever since our very first training session together, the moment we became partners.
Wynne, your presence truly enriched this experience for me, filling it with joy and laughter. It’s quite likely that everyone else was a bit envious, as you seem to be the kind of person everyone desires to have in their lives.

Evans remarked: “Working with Katya has been extraordinary, and spending Saturdays with this group is a delight. However, what’s truly fantastic is the daily dance routine we share.
“I’ve grown so much and I’m so thankful to have met [Katya].”
In the world of Strictly Come Dancing, I danced a captivating Charleston to George Bizet’s “Les toréadors” from Carmen Suite No. 1: 5. My partner and I managed to secure 31 points, which unfortunately positioned us second to last on the leaderboard. However, we were fortunate enough to be ahead of Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał who, despite their 27 points, successfully avoided the dance-off.
The positioning of Montell and Johannes turned out to be unexpected following their impressive Salsa performance to “Don’t Leave Me This Way” by Kylie Minogue, earning them three nines and an eight from Craig Revel Horwood.
