Fairy Tail Sequel Debuts Natsu and Lucy’s Child (& Not As Fans Would Hope)

As a seasoned Fairy Tail fanatic who’s been following this magical saga since its inception, I must admit that the recent revelation of Natsu and Lucy’s child, Nasha, has left me both intrigued and slightly disappointed. Don’t get me wrong; I love the idea of seeing our beloved couple evolve, but the twist happened in a parallel world where they are already married? That’s a bit too much fan service for my taste!

In the continuation of “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest”, the upcoming arc promises excitement. However, instead of moving forward as anticipated, the latest anime episode momentarily veered off course to unveil an unexpected twist – the introduction of Natsu and Lucy’s child. Regrettably, this revelation might not align with fans’ expectations of their beloved couple. The second season of “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest” is currently in full swing, offering a fresh batch of episodes this Fall. With the gang having just concluded one of their most intense battles, they find themselves whisked away to an unfamiliar location as a surprising turn of events.

Enraged by all the events, the White Mage decides to cast a spell to return to her homeland Elentear along with her Fairy Tail comrades. However, things don’t go as intended, and they find themselves transported to Edolas instead. It has been some time since Natsu and the gang last visited this parallel world, and much has changed since then. The initial surprise comes in Episode 19 when their counterparts – a child born from the union of their version of Natsu and Lucy – named Nasha, makes her appearance.

Who Is Nasha in Fairy Tail?

One captivating aspect of “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest” lies in the possibility of exploring the evolution of the relationship between characters Natsu and Lucy, who fans had hoped would become an official couple post-series. Although they didn’t officially pair up in the original series, their counterparts from Edolas did. In fact, by Episode 19, it’s disclosed that these two have a child named Nasha, who shares physical resemblances with both of them, as she appears more like Natsu but has strawberry blonde hair due to Lucy’s genetic influence.

In nine years apart, Edo Lucy shares with Lucy that she had a child, got married to Natsu, and so did Gray and Juvia, who also had a kid. Edo Lucy tells Lucy an intriguing story about how one day, Natsu showed strong feelings towards her while they were in a car, leading to their union from then on. The residents of Edolas have made remarkable progress in their lives, which underscores the fact that Earth’s inhabitants, including Natsu and the others, could learn a lesson or two about personal development.

Will Natsu and Lucy Ever Really Get Together?

For years, fans have been eagerly waiting for Natsu and Lucy’s relationship status to be officially confirmed in the popular series “Fairy Tail”. The creator, Hiro Mashima, has hinted at a romantic connection between them, but their bond remained unchanged throughout the original series. However, as the sequel progresses, these subtle nods are fueling fan speculation that they might eventually become an item.

Mashima, the creator, has also hinted at deeper romantic relationships between characters Natsu and Lucy by sharing sketches that depict them in more intimate situations than what’s shown in the original series. These suggestive sketches even include a possible child of theirs in the future. It appears he is open to this concept, but to satisfy Fairy Tail fans who have long been waiting for confirmation, Mashima needs to make it an official part of the storyline.
