As a lifelong Marvel enthusiast who’s spent countless hours immersed in the rich tapestry of the Marvel Universe, I can hardly contain my excitement for NetEase’s upcoming title, Marvel Rivals! With its December 6th launch date fast approaching, the tantalizing glimpse into the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda has sent a shockwave of anticipation through the Marvel community.
Next month, Marvel Rivals by NetEase will debut with eight maps, and a fresh addition to the lineup has been revealed – the Space-faring Wakanda Empire. Similar to Earth-616, Vibranium plays a crucial role in this civilization’s development; however, it appears that in this alternate reality, its source is located beyond our planet. Take a look at it below.
The map showcases a harmonious blend of Wakandan artistic styles and notable Black Panther figures. Spacious corridors and stunning gardens create an appealing atmosphere for gatherings such as Convergence. A hint at the end suggests the possibility of a fire-wielding hero, similar to the Human Torch, who was rumored several months ago.
Marvel Rivals, a game featuring 33 characters (with some yet to be unveiled), is set to release on December 6th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. After launch, all heroes – current and future ones – can be unlocked without charge with the inaugural post-launch season starting in January 2025. Keep an eye out for additional information over the next few weeks.
