How to Watch Every Marvel Movie and TV Show in Order on Disney+

As a seasoned movie enthusiast with over two decades of experience, I must say that diving into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! From the very beginning with Iron Man, we’ve witnessed an intricate tapestry of interconnected stories unfold on the silver screen.

As a devoted Marvel fan, I’ve been on this superhero journey for over 16 years, witnessing twice as many movies unfold in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This universe has been weaving an intricate tale, one where “everything is intertwined.” The current MCU spans across 34 films, each set within what’s known as the Sacred Timeline.

With Deadpool and Wolverine now available on Disney+, the latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been incorporated into the official Marvel timeline which commenced with Iron Man in 2008. Here’s a guide to help you watch all Marvel movies in sequence on Disney+, where you can currently stream every MCU film (with the exception of Spider-Man: No Way Home).

These are movies that share a universe with the Marvel Cinematic Universe but aren’t officially part of it, and they can be found on Disney+. The list includes Sony’s Spider-Man films from 2002 to 2007, as well as the 2012 and 2014 versions of The Amazing Spider-Man. Marvel movies to watch before Deadpool & Wolverine

In essence, director Shawn Levy clarified that watching the movie Deadpool & Wolverine doesn’t necessitate any preliminary study or knowledge about the X-Men universe. However, the film does make references to past X-Men movies such as Logan and Deadpool 2, and features characters from legacy Marvel productions. Levy stated that he crafted this film with deep respect for fans who are deeply versed in the mythology and history of these characters and their world, but without assuming that everyone has prior knowledge. The film is designed for entertainment, meaning there’s no need to delve into background research before watching.

How to watch the MCU: timeline order or release order?

For an optimal viewing experience of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s best to follow the release order. Tony Stark kick-started the series in “Iron Man,” but Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s super-spy (played by Samuel L. Jackson), set things in motion during a post-credits scene, hinting at an interconnected universe to Stark. “You don’t think you’re the only superhero in the world? Mr. Stark, you’ve become part of a bigger universe,” Fury said, “you just don’t know it yet.

As a cinema enthusiast, I’d suggest that instead of diving straight into the intricacies of the MCU timeline, you might find it more engaging to follow the story in its initial release order. This means starting with Iron Man, the film that kick-started this epic journey, and progressing through the series.
