Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – EA is “Actively Investigating” Issues on PS5 Pro

As a long-time gamer who’s seen their fair share of console generations and their respective quirks, I must say that the PlayStation 5 Pro has been quite the spectacle. It’s no secret that it’s priced a bit steeply, but the performance it offers is truly something to behold – at least for most games.

The new PlayStation 5 Pro has been generally well-received, even with its expensive price tag, thanks to various appealing features like the PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution. However, it appears that the AI upscaler encounters issues for certain games, such as “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” from Respawn Entertainment. In a recent review, Digital Foundry noted screen shimmering when played in Performance Mode, which could be attributed to PSSR’s upscaling.

The outcome seems less than optimal compared to PS5 performance. While Sony has yet to address or confirm this issue, Electronic Arts on Twitter admits they are cognizant of the problems and are actively searching for solutions. At present, there’s no specified timeline for a resolution, so keep an eye out for future announcements regarding this matter.

Titles experiencing comparable visual glitches on the console are also the remake of Silent Hill 2 by Bloober Team, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 from Activision, and EA Sports FC 25. This problem appears to be confined to 60 FPS Performance modes that use PlayStation’s Super Spectral Resolution technology.

We’ve noticed some problems with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on the PlayStation 5 Pro, and we’re currently working hard to find a solution.
