What’s the view from your sofa?

In a nostalgic nod to the past, I’ve decorated my humble abode with a touch of classic charm. A colossal poster of “All About Eve,” one of my all-time favorite films, graces the wall, while a vibrant neon light, shaped like a woman with an oversized afro and stylish sunglasses, adds a cinematic flair to the right corner. There’s something magical about dimming the lights and letting the neon glow illuminate the room, creating that authentic movie theater atmosphere I cherish so much.

What have you been enjoying watching recently?

I regret to mention that the series ‘Kaos’ on Netflix has me concerned. Much like many others, I worry about getting attached to a TV show only for it to be cancelled, just as ‘Kaos’ was! On the brighter side, I’ve also been enjoying ‘Agatha All Along’.

Who controls the remote?

I was raised in a large family setting that lacked electricity, making my opinions carry significant weight. My household operates more like a monarchy or autocracy, as I hold the final say on most matters.

In the show Taskmaster last year, you frequently mentioned that you were trained at Rada. Did they acknowledge or express gratitude for the promotion you provided?

They never had an opportunity, and it would be quite embarrassing for them. The Taskmaster proved to be the most effective advertisement imaginable, yet it failed to grab my attention. Therefore, I find no reason to consider their requests or needs.

Initially, I wanted to explore Borneo for fun since it was also the setting for a reality TV show. However, the experience felt like juggling two roles: one as a conservationist, and another where I was asked, “Do you find that boy appealing?” At 14, I had a crush on Orlando Bloom as Legolas, so I didn’t engage in that. The process of filming was magnificent, but it didn’t align with the show’s portrayal. This confusion made me question if I had made mistakes. Now, I can’t bring myself to watch reality shows, particularly those set in jungles. I realized that behind-the-scenes television production is intricate and intimidating. Filming provided valuable insights into the TV industry.

As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but reflect on the captivating role you played in “Cheaters.” Your character’s emotional journey, filled with tears and newfound love, was truly compelling. Now that the series has made its grand return, I find myself eagerly seeking updates about Fola. Could you enlighten us on where we might find her this time around?

Six months have passed, and we find ourselves following the lives of Fola and Josh, who are attempting to navigate a romantic relationship together, as well as Fola and Zack, who are in the midst of ending their marriage. The story’s central question revolves around the possibility of maintaining a successful relationship that originated from an affair.

Do you think there’s still a stigma to those kind of relationships?

The common saying that “You find something in the same way you leave it” can be quite unfair. If you don’t work through and confront the underlying issues of why an affair occurred, I suspect the pattern will repeat itself. Some people might even think there’s some lingering negative consequences for a couple who have experienced such infidelity.

Did people come up to you and share similar experiences after the first series aired?

Many individuals comprehended the reason behind Fola’s extramarital affair, as her partner abstained from intimacy for a year and was unresponsive to discussing the cause.

Do you know anyone who’s got together after they’ve had an affair? Does it ever work?

In various creative circles, it’s not uncommon to encounter interpersonal issues due to frequent exposure to individuals with whom you’re expected to share a certain rapport, as determined by others. Regularly interacting with a diverse array of people is simply part of the scene in the arts.

Have you ever found yourself, like Fola, in a relationship that’s not going well?

I’m predominantly drawn towards men, and it seems like that’s my usual circumstance! The support I receive from those around me encourages me to make wise decisions and avoid compromising. However, I also know when it’s time to walk away. I’m not inclined to take on a self-sacrificing role.
