On Tuesday, Team Xbox disclosed a fresh collection of games coming to Xbox Game Pass through Xbox Wire, providing details on the release dates for these games across different levels of Microsoft’s gaming subscription.
Besides the earlier announced survival-shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl being available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, subscribers across all tiers can anticipate playing Aliens: Dark Descent, a game similar to XCOM that involves leading a team of marines through an infestation.
Keep in mind that although Genshin Impact is free to play, Xbox Game Pass members can enjoy monthly perks. So, remember to collect your rewards as you venture into the world of Teyvat.

As a researcher, I found myself pleasantly surprised to discover that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy had been quietly added to Xbox Game Pass just a few days prior. This latest addition seems part of an ongoing strategy by Activision Blizzard King to gradually enrich the offerings within their service.
This year’s initial releases aren’t wrapping up yet; Indiana Jones and the Great Circle from Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames is scheduled for release on both Xbox and PC on December 9, 2024, and will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.
As a researcher enthusiastically looking ahead, I am eagerly anticipating the powerful beginning our industry is poised to experience in 2025. This momentum stems from Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming masterpiece, Avowed, set to debut on February 18, 2024. Interestingly, this game will make history by being accessible through Battle.net – a first for games not under the Activision Blizzard umbrella.
