As a long-time enthusiast of shows that blend entertainment with a dash of the extraordinary, I must say I’m thrilled to hear about the return of You Bet!. Having grown up watching its original run, I can only imagine the excitement Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern must feel as they step into the shoes of their predecessors.
On Saturday, 7th December at 8:15 PM, ITV has verified that the revival of the beloved game show You Bet! will make its debut.
Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern are set to team up again for the upcoming show, marking the first of the two special episodes that were announced back in August.
In the style of Wetten Dass? (or “Will It Happen?”), this program invites ordinary people to demonstrate their extraordinary talents by attempting incredible feats, with the tantalizing prospect of taking home an impressive sum of money as the reward for success.
In this setup, both the studio audience and a group of famous individuals are provided an opportunity to forecast whether each competitor can successfully accomplish the incredible tasks presented to them. If the celebrities make correct predictions, they earn additional points for their score.
At the conclusion of the performance, viewers have an opportunity to select their preferred competitor who receives a prize of £10,000.
In addition, the celebrity who earns the highest score will donate an equal amount to their preferred charity, whereas the one with the lowest score faces a final challenge as a penalty.
In these upcoming shows, comedian Rob Beckett will serve as the moderator for our star-studded panel. Joining him across the two episodes are Judi Love, Olly Murs, Mary Earps, Alison Hammond, Rosie Ramsey, and Harry Redknapp.

She added: “I’m looking forward to seeing the astonishing skills on show from the challengers and which of our celebrity panellists can come out on top.”
At the same time, Mulhern expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “As a child, I adored ‘You Bet!’ and now, I’m thrilled to co-host it alongside the fantastic Holly Willoughby.
I’m excitedly looking forward to discovering the diverse array of talents, ranging from grand and awe-inspiring to one-of-a-kind and unforeseen, that these competitors are hiding!
The show initially aired from 1988 to 1997, during which time Bruce Forsyth, Matthew Kelly, and Darren Day all took turns hosting the program.
