As a die-hard fan of Sonic and Shadow, I’ve been thrilled with Sega’s 2024 lineup. The latest addition to this impressive roster, Sonic X Shadow Generations, has just surpassed another sales milestone – 1.5 million units worldwide! It’s incredible to think that it only took a month for this game to sell an additional half a million copies after its initial million-unit launch day success.
2024 saw a multitude of significant launches from Sega, all of which garnered both critical acclaim and strong sales. Among these, the latest release Sonic X Shadow Generations, has proven to be no exception, as it recently surpassed another sales benchmark.
According to Sega’s official Southeast Asia Facebook post, “Sonic X Shadow Generations” has reached global sales of 1.5 million units. Remarkably, on its debut day last month, the game sold one million copies. This means that an additional half a million units have been sold since then.
In December, additional content (DLC) is planned for the enhanced version, which includes a new level for “Shadow Generations” inspired by the upcoming film “Sonic the Hedgehog 3.” Similar to the movie, this expansion will feature Keanu Reeves reprising his role as Shadow.
