As I reflect upon my journey through life, I can’t help but marvel at the extraordinary twists and turns that have led me to where I am today – or rather, they led us since we’ve always been a pair, even when apart.
Twinning passports to Paris!
On November 20th, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, both aged 38, made an unusual appearance together in Paris. They delightfully walked through Place Vendôme, a location beautifully illuminated with holiday lights.
The two individuals donned long, black trench coats, but Mary-Kate paired hers with brown trousers, a white blouse, and black footwear. She was noticeably well-wrapped up in a scarf featuring an interesting pattern draped around her neck.
Speaking as a lifestyle enthusiast here, let me share my recent outfit choice: I paired striped black pants with matching socks and comfortable slides. To complete the ensemble, I carried a sleek black bag on my arm. As a mom to our 15-month-old son Otto, shared with husband Louis Eisner, comfort and style go hand in hand for me!
When the stars of the “Billboard Dad”, who currently lead a more private lifestyle, realized they were being snapped, Ashley swiftly hid her face by her arm and Mary-Kate quickly did the same.
In a surprising turn, the reclusive fashion-designing sisters were recently spotted in Paris – an event that follows closely on the heels of their brand, The Row, opening its inaugural European store in the City of Love, exactly two months ago.
Ashley shared with Vogue that they have been searching for years to find the perfect location for their new storefront in Paris. Their dream was to establish themselves in Paris before expanding to London, but they couldn’t find suitable spots initially. However, 18 months ago, a friend informed them about this specific place.
She emphasized to The Row’s retail outlets (which are located in New York, Los Angeles, London, and the Hamptons) that it should feel like a positive community engagement—a sense of the store being a part of the local area. She stressed that the experience should be distinctive and memorable, making each visitor’s experience as valuable to us as any other aspect of our work.
The actress from “Full House” mentioned that her group occasionally encounters challenges similar to others, yet they are accustomed to adapting swiftly when faced with unexpected circumstances.
Ashley said, “It’s important to stay flexible and adapt quickly, learning as you go. That’s just our style! It might not be immediately apparent, but after checking out nearly every main street in Paris, we’re extremely content right here.
Instead of regularly giving interviews or making numerous public appearances after leaving acting, these sisters tend to keep a low profile. However, in one of their infrequent interviews, they acknowledged that they were brought up as private individuals.
In an interview with i-D Magazine in 2021, Mary-Kate explained, “Our preference for a particular aesthetic might be simply our personal taste, but it doesn’t limit us from appreciating something excessively ornate or elaborate. Sometimes, our designs begin as something grand and intricate, only to be simplified over time. Not every collection starts out with a minimalist approach.
