As a survivor of sexual assault who has fought tirelessly for justice and support for other victims, I can only imagine the relief and empowerment that Nikita Hand must be feeling right now. It is heartbreaking to hear stories like this, but it is inspiring to see survivors standing up and speaking out against their attackers.

A woman who sued Conor McGregor for sexual assault can put the legal battle behind her.
In a decision made on November 22nd, a jury from Dublin’s High Court found in favor of Nikita Hand, who had accused a mixed martial artist of having violently raped and severely beaten her during an incident that took place in 2018.
Following the verdict, Hand addressed the media gathered outside the courthouse, stating to the BBC that the jury’s ruling in the civil trial served as a “reminder of the courage it takes to speak out, even when fearful, for you possess a powerful voice.
As an ardent fan, I’m compelled to share that, according to the Associated Press, McGregor declared under oath that he never coerced Hand into any actions against her will. In the incident from 2018, which unfolded in a Dublin hotel penthouse, it was consensual between us that we engaged in sexual activity.
After the November 22nd verdict, the UFC fighter explained to TMZ that the judge’s decision only included damages for simple assault, and no additional awards were granted for aggravated or punitive damages.
He expressed his disappointment that the jury didn’t get to consider all the evidence the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Dublin had reviewed regarding the allegations against Hand, as they deemed it not substantial enough for a criminal trial in 2020.
“I am with my family,” he continued, “focused on my future.”
TopMob News has attempted to get in touch with McGregor’s lawyers about the recent decision, but we haven’t received a response so far.
Earlier this month, as reported by CBS News, the civil trial commenced. During this trial, Hand provided a moving account of the incident in question, where he claimed to have been assaulted.
During their 2018 encounter, it was reported that McGregor had applied a chokehold on her multiple times. In the midst of her struggles, he allegedly said, “Now you understand what I felt like in the octagon when I tapped out three times,” which was a reference to his losses within the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
As an ardent admirer, I’m compelled to share this harrowing tale in my own words. This beloved hair stylist, a mother of one, revealed a chilling truth about her encounter with McGregor. She expressed grave concerns for her safety, claiming he crossed an unacceptable line during their interaction.
In her statement, Hand explained that after being released, she apologized to him out of fear and guilt for what had happened. She wanted to assure him that she would not disclose the incident to prevent any further harm.
In his own words, McGregor, who had Dee Devlin by his side throughout the trial, having been together since 2008, testified that Hand’s statement was false. He characterized their sexual encounter as active and energetic, but not aggressive. Crucially, he stated that she never expressed discomfort or stopped the activity.
On previous occasions, McGregor has encountered legal issues stemming from sexual assault accusations. In 2023, a woman claimed that he assaulted her in the restroom of an NBA Finals game for the Miami Heat. However, the Miami State Attorney’s Office decided not to press charges due to lack of substantial evidence.
