As a child of the ’90s who grew up on a steady diet of animated movies and cartoons, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia when I see The Bad Guys 2 trailer. The original movie was a delightful surprise back in 2022, with its witty humor, engaging characters, and a story that managed to be both entertaining and heartwarming.
In the year 2022, a movie became the first to gross $250 million, promptly leading to the swift approval of a sequel. Now, we’re given an early glimpse with the release of the trailer for The Bad Guys 2.
In a fresh storyline from the popular 2022 DreamWorks Animation film, The Bad Guys find it challenging to gain trust and acceptance as they switch to being Good Guys. However, their peaceful lives are disrupted when they’re called back for one final mission by a group of tough, criminal women.
According to the popular book series by Aaron Blabey, titled “The Bad Guys”, the sequel, named “The Bad Guys 2”, brings back the original star-studded cast and creative team.
In this new adventure, the notorious villains – Sam Rockwell playing the suave ex-thief Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron portraying the meticulous safecracker Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson bringing charm to master of disguise Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos embodying the hotheaded Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as the skilled cybercriminal Ms. Tarantula (or “Webs”) – reappear on screen.
The main comic actors are back: Zazie Beetz as Diane Foxington, Richard Ayoade as Professor Marmalade (a BAFTA winner), Alex Borstein as Chief Misty Luggins (an Emmy winner), and Lilly Singh as Tiffany Fluffit.
