Despite Goku’s immense power making him one of the universe’s strongest fighters, he rarely earns any accolades as a model father. Across the shonen series, Goku’s various absences have prevented him from raising his children, an issue that is addressed in the latest episode of Daima. As a dedicated fan, I often find myself pondering about Goten’s relationship with Goku. It sometimes feels like Goku is unaware of his youngest son’s existence, given their limited interactions. Our first encounter between them was during the Buu Saga, and by then, Goten was already growing up before Goku came back to life. After Kid Buu’s demise, Goku did return and reside at home, but it’s hard to tell just how much time he actually spent connecting with Goten.
Although Daima hasn’t confirmed if they’ve addressed the criticism about Goku’s parenting skills on the internet, their recent interaction in the anime series certainly suggests that they have.
