Upon learning the news, Mia Thornton shared with TopMob News at Bravo’s Fan Fest in Miami on November 23 that she and her castmate Wendy (Osefo) immediately reached out to Karen. Their message to Karen was heartfelt: “Karen, we care for you, and we’re here to support you.
Mia also reached out on her own after news broke that Matt had passed away earlier this week.
Mia conveyed, “I sent her a message saying, ‘Dear Sister, I adore you. If there’s anything you require, I’m at your service,'” Mia went on. “It’s incredibly challenging for us, as we often overlook the resilient friends in our lives. Matt was one of Karen’s rock-solid friends, from what I could gather as an observer. He always made us feel welcome with open arms and displayed immense affection. So his passing came as a surprise. Yet, I believe that his life will serve as a beacon for many others to come. I want to ensure that his memory continues to thrive.
Wendy also shared she’s talked to Karen several times in her time of need.
She expressed to TopMob, “I’m merely passing along affection to Matt, and his family as well. He was deeply intertwined in Karen’s life, and now, with us all supporting each other, he becomes an essential part of everyone’s lives. I can only wish that during difficult times, there are people out there who genuinely care for them.
Following the heartbreaking announcement of Matt’s untimely demise on November 22nd, I was among those who shared my thoughts and feelings about his passing at the age of 37.
She shared with People that she will forever remember Matt as the vibrant, caring 17-year-old she encountered years ago.
