As a longtime League of Legends player and avid fan of video game adaptations, I must say that Arcane has been nothing short of breathtaking. This animated masterpiece has taken the gaming world by storm and left me utterly captivated since its debut on Netflix last year. The final episodes of Season 2, Act 3, are now streaming, marking the end of this incredible journey through the world of Runeterra.
The popular video game adaptation, Arcane, which garnered significant attention upon its release on Netflix in 2021, has concluded with the final episodes now available to stream. Originally, Arcane captivated fans by introducing characters from the League of Legends franchise into a fresh narrative. Since its debut this month, Season 2 of the series has been dominating Netflix and is now approaching its conclusion, which is taking place today.
The second season of the mysterious series, Arcane, made its debut on Netflix earlier this month, and Act 3 became available for streaming as of November 23rd. This concludes the final three episodes of the season, marking the end of the animated show after 18 episodes have aired. Fans are eagerly anticipating a satisfying resolution for all characters, as it remains unclear what’s next in store for League of Legends following Arcane’s run.

Why Arcane Is Ending After Two Seasons
The “Arcane: League of Legends” has concluded its run after completing two seasons, marking a significant milestone as one of the costliest animated series ever produced. However, this doesn’t necessarily signal the end of the franchise, but rather a change in its format. Co-creator Christian Linke shared with ComicBook earlier this year that the decision to conclude the animated series at this juncture was always part of their original plan, aiming to bring the story to a close.
Linke stated that they had a clear narrative with a definite start and finish, focusing mainly on character development. They didn’t set a specific number of episodes, but the story was always intended to be finite, not an ongoing series. It was a natural process for them, so there was no uncertainty about when it would end. However, this conclusion might pave the way for additional League of Legends stories within the broader universe of the franchise.
Will Arcane Get a Season 3?
Although “Arcane” concluded with its second season, the original video game “League of Legends” offers a multitude of characters. Much like the series title implies, it has the potential to carry on as an anthology series in upcoming installments. Netflix has previously achieved success with video game anthologies such as “Castlevania” and “Castlevania: Nocturne”. Given the massive popularity of “Arcane”, it’s logical to assume that future stories exploring other characters could also be successful.
First conceived by Christian Linke and Alex Yee in collaboration with Riot Games (the company behind League of Legends) at Fortiche Productions, Arcane consists of 18 episodes spread across its two seasons. This widely acclaimed animated series is now available on Netflix, featuring Ella Purnell as Jinx, Hailee Steinfeld as Vi, Katie Leung as Caitlyn, Reed Shannon as Ekko, and a host of other central characters amidst the turmoil that has recently reached its climax with the final set of episodes. All that remains now is to catch up and see what unfolds in the sequel.
