17-year-old Walker “Hollywood” Smith had a surgery following an incident at a November 15th rodeo where a bull accidentally stepped on his chest. This information was shared by his father, Daniel Smith.
In his November 21st Facebook post, Daniel expressed gratitude to God saying, “Praise be to God.” He emphasized that the glory belongs to God alone, not on this day, for Walker Smith has successfully undergone surgery and is currently in good condition.
And Walker is already making great strides toward recovery.
In a November 24 update on Facebook, his father expressed joy, saying, “He’s using the bathroom now, which is fantastic! One of the most thrilling aspects for him is that they’ve shut off the ventilator. He’s now managing completely on his own.
Walker manages to move his toes at will, but as Daniel mentioned, he hasn’t learned to speak just yet because of the tracheostomy located in his neck.
Daniel mentioned that the topic at hand was his son, who’s expressing himself through blinking. He emphasized that this child is battling for every little thing he achieves in life. Daniel added that they had always known since his childhood that he’s a fighter, a spirit that never falters.
At the Space Coast State Fair in Florida, Walker was tossed from a bull within mere seconds. As he lay there, the massive beast, tipping the scales at almost 2,000 pounds, stepped on Walker’s chest. Consequently, an air ambulance transported him to a nearby hospital.
As a devoted admirer, I find myself compelled to echo his father’s heartfelt plea: “Indeed, our beloved Walker requires more divine intervention than ever before.” His dad bravely expressed this after the unfortunate accident. “Currently, he is valiantly battling for his life,” I share, urging everyone to join me in a fervent prayer. “In the mighty name of Jesus, let us call forth healing, for it approaches swiftly…” I firmly believe that only the divine can orchestrate such miracles. A family friend set up a GoFundMe page for the Smith family, sharing that Walker suffered a collapsed lung and bleeding in his brain as a result of the injury. Following the accident, he had a “series of mini strokes in his brain,” according to the GoFundMe page. So far the page has raised $7,700 of the $5,000 goal.
Their son’s accident has been admittedly frightening for Daniel and his wife Sabrina Smith.
Sabrina expressed during an interview with WCTV on November 19th, ‘I’ve misplaced it.’ She feels powerless because she can’t find a way to assist him.
Daniel mirrored his wife’s hardship, admitting, “I’m finding it tough to cope. I truly am. Normally, I’m the one who reassures everyone that everything is alright. I’m the strong one in these situations. But right now, I’m not managing well.
