Darkest Dungeon 2: Inhuman Bondage DLC and Kingdoms Mode Will Launch for PC on January 27

As a seasoned adventurer who has braved the darkest dungeons and emerged victorious more times than I can count, I must say that the announcement of the upcoming release of Kingdoms mode and the Inhuman Bondage DLC for Darkest Dungeon 2 has me absolutely thrilled! The thought of a new standalone game experience in Confessions mode, and the addition of a new mini-region and playable hero with Inhuman Bondage, is enough to make any dungeon delver’s heart race.

Red Hook Studios, the creators of Darkest Dungeon 2, had planned to release their new game mode, Kingdoms, and DLC, titled Inhuman Bondage, together towards the end of 2024. However, as the year comes to an end, they’ve announced a minor postponement for these content additions.

In a recent press announcement, it has been revealed that the new game mode called Kingdoms and the paid DLC titled Inhuman Bondage for Darkest Dungeon 2 are set to launch on January 27th. As previously mentioned, the game mode Kingdoms will be accessible at no cost to all players, whereas the Inhuman Bondage DLC is a paid expansion pack.

Specifically, Kingdoms is presented as an independent, separate gameplay experience compared to the Confessions mode, and it begins with the first of three themed adventure modules, named “Hunger of the Beast Clan.” In addition, the “Inhuman Bondage” DLC offers a wealth of new content, such as a new mini-region and a playable character.

Darkest Dungeon 2 can be played on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers. However, the games Kingdoms and Inhuman Bondage will only be accessible on PC when they are launched in January. Console versions of these games will become available at a later date.
