As an experienced gamer with countless hours spent navigating the treacherous landscapes of the post-apocalyptic world, I can confidently say that the hunt for the Journalist’s Swamp Stashes in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been a thrilling adventure. The swamps, a region notorious for its danger and mystery, have proven to be yet another intriguing puzzle to solve.
In the “Seek and You Shall Find” mission within “Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl“, your objective is to locate a hidden cache nestled in the marshlands.
In the area known as the Swamps, you’ll find not just one, but two Journalist’s Stashes hidden. One can be found early on in the game, while the other remains inaccessible until deeper into the storyline. Both these stashes contribute to your Journalist’s collection!
In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find both Journalist’s Stashes in the Swamps region.
Find the Swamp Stash Guide
Initially, remember that there are two hidden spots in the swamp, referred to as “Journalist’s Stash”. They were mentioned earlier. These particular stashes can only be discovered during the “Seek, and you shall find” quest. To access this mission, you must have pre-ordered the game or bought the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions. In any other case, these stashes will remain hidden!
With that in mind, let’s go over both of the Journalist’s Stashes in the Swamps!
Northern Swamps
In the enchanting world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, I stumbled upon my first swamp stash at the Horodyshche Hamlet, nestled snugly in the northwestern corner of the Swamps region.
Upon arriving at Horodyshche Hamlet, locate the barn positioned on the eastern side of the settlement where a tractor is usually kept. Climb aboard the tractor and employ it to ascend onto the barn’s rooftop instead.
Up on the barn’s rooftop, there are some wooden boards barricading the entryway. Feel free to smash them open using whatever tool you prefer, and then step inside the barn.
The treasure hidden in the marsh is directly ahead, located at the far end of the barn structure. Just watch your step to avoid tripping into any pits leading to the ground below – otherwise, reaching it shouldn’t be too difficult!
Southern Swamps
The hidden cache belonging to the second journalist in the swamps can be found at the most southeastern tip of the region. Intriguingly, this area marks the farthest southeastern point on the entire game’s map!
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to access this cache until further along in the game. That region is currently sealed off by an anomaly, which will transport you back whenever you try to venture deeper into the marsh. Proceed with the narrative and eventually, you’ll reach the Clear Sky Base nestled within the swamps.
Once you get to the marked spot, look for an abandoned barracks building and enter it.
You’ll find the Journalist’s Stash next to one of the bunkbeds inside the barracks.
