Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Saw Series’ Biggest First-Month Player Engagement Numbers

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been nothing short of spectacular. I remember the early days of gaming, when we had to wait months for a new title to drop and the excitement was almost unbearable. Now, with games like Black Ops 6 breaking records left and right, it’s clear that the industry has come a long way.

Last month, Microsoft boasted that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” had the largest launch for any “Call of Duty” game to date. The title saw substantial year-over-year growth in sales on PlayStation and Steam, even setting a new record for Game Pass subscriber sign-ups on its release day. A month later, we have additional insights into how the shooter has been faring in its initial phase, and it’s no surprise that it’s been maintaining its momentum.

Through Twitter, Activision announced that more players, matches played, and hours spent playing were recorded in the first 30 days of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 than any other Call of Duty game previously released. This makes it the series’ largest launch month ever in terms of player engagement. The company expressed its gratitude to the Call of Duty community for helping make the debut of Black Ops 6 a record-breaking event.

In the past few weeks, reports show that this game was the top-selling one for October not only in the U.S., but also in the UK. Given its strong initial performance, it’s likely to outperform many other games on the market during November as well.

You can find “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” on various platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and personal computers. Check out our review right here.
