What you need to know

  • Microsoft recently launched a collaboration with NASCAR into Forza Motorsport, adding all three of the currently running Nextgen cars into the game from Chevrolet, Toyota, and Ford.
  • NASCAR in Forza has been so popular in Featured Multiplayer that it’s been announced the mode will be sticking around into the New Year.
  • This is one of the best ways to race NASCAR on console right now, with iRacing’s take on the franchise not due until some time in 2025.

As a long-time NASCAR enthusiast with years of virtual racing under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest collaboration between Microsoft and NASCAR in Forza Motorsport is a game-changer. Having followed the sport since its inception, it’s fascinating to see how far it has come, and now, bringing the Nextgen cars into the game is a dream come true for many fans like me.

As a passionate NASCAR enthusiast, I always enjoy sharing my knowledge with fellow racing aficionados that there’s a lot more to it than just making left turns. However, its popularity extends far beyond the United States, and the inclusion of NASCAR in the latest Forza Motorsport game has received an equally warm reception.

Microsoft incorporated NASCAR into the game just last month, and due to its widespread appeal among multiplayer participants, they’ve decided to keep it as a main playlist until at least 2025.

Observing the current situation, I can see that we’re aiming to maintain the status quo up until the first couple of weeks in January. However, as history has shown us, unexpected events may arise beyond that point.

This year’s Forza series features the latest NASCAR models, often referred to as the Nextgen cars, from manufacturers like Chevrolet, Toyota, and Ford. These stunning vehicles recreate the authentic racing experience. Although the selection of traditional NASCAR tracks may seem limited, playing on console is currently one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the NASCAR action.

On personal computers, people can immerse themselves in the highly-regarded simulation game iRacing, offering a nearly authentic racing experience without requiring natural driving skill or substantial financial resources. Excitingly, console enthusiasts will also have access to an officially licensed NASCAR title developed by iRacing, planned for release in 2025. This means that Xbox users will soon enjoy a rich racing simulation experience as well.
