Pokemon Go Is Bringing Back Necrozma Fusions for Raid Day Event

As a seasoned Pokémon Go player with countless hours spent catching ’em all, I must admit, the upcoming Necrozma Raid Day event has my heart racing! The return of Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma forms is not just nostalgic but also a testament to the game’s continuous evolution.

The upcoming season for the popular game Pokemon Go was announced today, commencing on December 3rd. Details about this new season are gradually being disclosed, including details regarding events that will occur. On Saturday, December 14th, players can anticipate a Raid Day event, during which Necrozma and its Fusions will make a comeback. Between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma are expected to appear frequently in Raids. Additionally, during this period, players have an enhanced likelihood of discovering a Shiny Necrozma!

This year, the forms of Necrozma known as Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings were introduced in Pokemon Go for the first time. For those who didn’t participate in the earlier event, it is important to mention that players cannot capture either of these forms directly. Instead, once a Raid is successfully conquered, players will be given the chance to catch Necrozma in its regular form. However, they’ll also receive Solar Fusion Energy or Lunar Fusion Energy as rewards. If a player has Solgaleo or Lunala, they can use the appropriate Fusion Energy along with 30 Cosmog Candies and 30 Necrozma Candies to create either Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma.

Despite the high cost of manufacturing these Fusions, they come with several significant advantages. Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma are incredibly powerful, which is one reason why Niantic chose to reintroduce them in the game. They excel in Raids and Go Battle League. Additionally, both of these characters have the ability to use Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam as Adventure Effects.

To mark the Raid Day celebration, Niantic has shared some exciting perks! From Friday, December 13th at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, the maximum number of Remote Raids you can join will be boosted to 20. This enhanced limit will remain in effect until December 14th at 8 p.m. Pacific Time. Additionally, during this period, spinning the Photo Discs at Gyms grants you an extra five Raid Passes!

In Pokemon Go, the reappearance of Necrozma’s combined forms might pave the way for more fusion events in the future. The forthcoming Dual Destiny season is set to emphasize content from the Unova region, where fusion was also a key element. In Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, Kyurem underwent fusion with Reshiram and Zekrom. Although these Pokemon were incorporated into Pokemon Go quite some time ago, the fusion mechanic wasn’t implemented yet. Now that Niantic has successfully integrated it with Necrozma, there’s a chance we could witness similar fusions with Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. For now, fans can only speculate!
