Dragon Ball Daima Shares Tasty New Look At McDonald’s Collab

As a seasoned gamer and die-hard anime enthusiast, I must say that I am thoroughly enthralled by McDonald’s latest venture into the realm of anime collaboration! The “WcDonald’s” partnership with Studio Pierrot was a stroke of genius, and now they’ve taken it to another level with Dragon Ball Daima.

McDonald’s hasn’t hesitated to join the anime scene whenever the opportunity presents itself. Lately, they’ve collaborated with popular franchises such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Jujutsu Kaisen, and One Piece worldwide. In 2024, McDonald’s took a significant leap by developing their own anime universe called “WcDonald’s,” partnering with Studio Pierrot (known for Naruto, Bleach, and Yu Yu Hakusho). Given the recent successes, they are now venturing into the Dragon Ball Z world with a fresh collaboration for Dragon Ball Daima, with new artwork circulating online to boost burger sales and promote Goku’s latest journey.

McDonald’s chose wisely by teaming up with the thrilling “Dragon Ball” series, given the escapades of Goku, Supreme Kai, Glorio, and Panzy in the Demon Realm. During their travels, they encounter new challenges, but Goku’s appetite is a consistent theme as the diminutive Z-Fighter is always on the lookout for something to eat. Although the demonic realm offers a variety of edible delights, it’s best for the anime protagonist if he remains unaware of what he’s consuming. As viewers have seen so far, the Demon Realm’s cuisine often incorporates unsettling and crawly ingredients to satisfy its inhabitants.

Dragon Ball McDonald’s

The partnership between McDonald’s and a new anime series has started, but unfortunately, it hasn’t been confirmed for the Western region yet. At the moment, the special Dragon Ball Daima fusion menu is exclusively available in Hong Kong, introducing unique dishes that haven’t been offered in the West before. For example, there’s a Chicken Katsu Burger, Teriyaki Crispy Thighs, White Grape Yogurt Soda, and more. Here’s hoping that North America’s passion for anime eventually leads to such campaigns reaching the West. To learn more about this collaboration, click on McDonald’s Hong Kong website here.

In this latest image from Dragon Ball Daima, you won’t find Goku indulging in a Demon Realm burger, but what you will see is Goku and his eternal foe Vegeta sharing the screen together. Although they may be smaller in size now, upcoming episodes promise a renewed rivalry between these two Saiyans. Fortunately, even though their power might have been scaled back somewhat, both characters can still undergo a Super Saiyan transformation when the situation calls for it.

The Demon Realm’s Cuisine

In the anime series, “Medi Bugs” are one of the most notable food items introduced. Some of these bugs are said to be like Senzu Beans, healing injuries and restoring energy. However, the most intriguing insects are the “Join Bugs.” These bugs appear to function similarly to the Fusion Dance and Potara Earrings, as they seem capable of merging characters together. So, there’s a possibility that Goku and Vegeta could create a new fused character, similar to Gogeta or Vegito, using these join bugs.

In the recent installment of Dragon Ball Daima, it seems that Goku might need a fusion for his battle against Tamagami. The guardians of the Demon Realm’s Dragon Balls seem to be more powerful than Dabura, who was around the same power level as Super Saiyan 2. As Piccolo, Vegeta, and Bulma are en route, reinforcements are on their way for Goku and his allies, if he can endure long enough to receive them.
