As a seasoned observer of the entertainment world, I must say that Taylor Swift’s fashion journey has been nothing short of captivating. From her humble beginnings in country music to her reign as pop royalty, she’s managed to maintain a unique and evolving sense of style that mirrors her growth as an artist.
In a humble gesture, Billboard publicly apologizes to Taylor Swift for the controversial video they previously shared.
Following a social media tribute to Taylor Swift as one of the top pop stars of the 21st century, which referenced Kanye West’s “Famous” music video, the publication offered an apology.
Apologies to Taylor Swift, our audience, and viewers, we mistakenly included a deceptive clip of her in a video highlighting her accomplishments on X (formerly Twitter). We’ve since taken out the clip and genuinely regret any distress we may have caused due to this mistake.
TopMob News has attempted to get in touch with representatives from Swift and Billboard concerning the post, however, we have not received a response as of now.
Initially, a post published by Billboard on November 27 showcased a video clip featuring Taylor Swift’s nude wax figure from Kanye West’s “Famous” music video (from 2016). Soon after the post went live, Taylor Swift’s fans voiced their displeasure on various social media platforms.
I, as a devoted follower, firmly believe that it’s not appropriate for a man to dictate a woman’s success. In light of this, Billboard should offer an apology to Taylor Swift for any perceived oversight or misjudgment in her achievements.
Another shared a screenshot of the aforementioned clip, adding, “This is disgusting.”
Back in 2016, when Kanye West dropped his song, I was absolutely thrilled, but little did I know it would ignite a long-standing feud between him and the one and only Taylor Swift. In July of that year, none other than Kim Kardashian shared a snippet from a conversation between Kanye and Taylor, giving the impression that she had given her blessing to the song’s lyrics, which included the controversial line, “I made that b—h famous.” As an obsessed fan, I found myself caught in the middle of this epic drama!
Initially, Swift stated that she wasn’t aware of some lyrics on the song, expressing her thoughts about the controversy in a now-removed Instagram post.
Taylor Swift posted that there’s no video of Kanye saying he would call her ‘that bitch’ in his song. She clarified this because it never occurred, and you can’t manipulate someone’s emotional reaction to being labeled ‘that bitch’ in public.
2020 saw the unveiling of the complete phone conversation, which confirmed Taylor Swift’s honesty in the incident. Last year, she looked back on this ordeal.
In a conversation with TIME magazine, Taylor Swift stated that Kim Kardashian had manipulated a phony situation and secretly recorded their phone call. This altered recording was then released by Kardashian, implying that Swift was dishonest. Swift expressed that this event had a profound psychological impact on her, taking her to depths she had never previously experienced.
Keep reading to see Swift through the years.
