Wolverine Confirmed for Marvel Rivals Launch

As a longtime Marvel fan and someone who has seen their fair share of ups and downs in the gaming world, I must say that the upcoming Marvel Rivals launch has me feeling quite optimistic. After the disappointing Avengers game from Square Enix, it’s refreshing to see NetEase Games stepping up with a free-to-play hero shooter that seems to be technically sound and offers the charm of beloved Marvel characters.

Many fans are gearing up and hyped for the upcoming Marvel Rivals launch this Friday.

NetEase Games are also dropping fan faverioute Wolerine to the mix on the day!

But how will the short stack king play, and who else is joining the roster?

Wolverine Cuts Into Marvel Rivals Launch

As a dedicated Marvel fan, these past couple of years have been a bit challenging when it comes to gaming experiences. I’ve got to admit, the debacle known as Square Enix’s The Avengers didn’t exactly leave me with sweet memories.

I’ve got to admit, I’m pretty fired up about this new free-to-play hero shooter game by NetEase that’s been causing a stir in the gaming community. It’s got a lot in common with my usual go-to game, but there’s one major twist that sets it apart: unlike the other hero shooter I play, this one offers something unique and fresh.

Reimagining Marvel heroes as if they were part of the Overwatch team – and this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for fans who are intrigued by such a concept, it’s certainly got them eagerly anticipating the release of Marvel’s Rival Factions!

Admittedly, I’m not a die-hard fan of either option individually. Yet, even if I’m not partial to roasted dishes, I can still tell when it’s well prepared. Similarly, Marvel Rivals, from a technical perspective, appears to be a strong contender as a hero shooter at the moment.

Introducing Wolverine in Marvel Rivals Launch could be a shrewd decision to attract more casual fans to the game.

Beginning December 6th, the game will be officially released worldwide on Steam. Joining Wolverine, we’ll have Iron Fist and Squirrel Girl. If you’re familiar with the rather underwhelming Netflix series, that’s Iron Fist. And if you’ve already delved deep enough, here comes Squirrel Girl!

In a manner comparable to other games, they arrange their playable characters into categories such as Brawlers, Strategists, and Vanguards. Essentially, this translates into Damage Per Second (DPS), support roles, and tank characters.

All three heroes are lined up as duelists, with Wolverine still not confirmed, but come on!

Some players have already had a hands-on with the Alpha and Beta, but most are newcomers.

Girl Galactus Has Me Acting Dr Strange

Initially, regarding gameplay, there are unveilings for Iron Fist and Squirrel Girl. Iron Fist is a character who primarily excels in close combat, specializing in intense melee attacks and quick rushes. On the other hand, Squirrel Girl resembles the squirrel character from Dota 2 in gameplay, with an emphasis on control through stuns and a wide Area of Effect (AEO) for her attacks.

Instead of altering Wolverine’s gameplay, we’ll stick with what’s been established. Given the reveal, his playstyle might resemble Iron Fist, emphasizing close-combat with some extended attack mechanics. Nonetheless, it’s clear that he looks fantastic in the game, as they’ve maintained his comic-accurate short and handsome appearance, which I’m thrilled about.

It’s up to your personal preference whether or not you find the game appealing due to its Eastern art style. I get it if you’re feeling fatigued by the contemporary League look some games adopt these days. If the absence of Marvel Rivals launch is what you’re pining for, I can relate. However, the transformation of Galactus into a female character is quite captivating and has certainly won me over!

Since Wolverine has been included, how about testing him out on the launch day of Marvel Rivals? It’s complimentary, but remember, it requires quite a lot of storage space – around 70GB, which is similar to an Overwatch-like game. Frankly, that’s quite a bit!
