As a seasoned adventurer and long-time fan of the Indiana Jones franchise, I can barely contain my excitement for MachineGames’ latest offering, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle! Having grown up with Harrison Ford’s iconic portrayal of Indy, it’s heartening to see the series branch out from its roots while staying true to the spirit of the original films.
The promotional video for “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” by MachineGames is now available, showcasing plenty of gameplay and scene sequences. If you prefer not to know any details before playing, be cautious about potential spoilers; otherwise, feel free to watch it below.
In the timeframe between “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “The Last Crusade,” the narrative unfolds with Indy (portrayed by Troy Baker, resembling Harrison Ford) traversing various significant locations worldwide. These sites appear to be interconnected in a puzzling, flawless pattern. In urgent pursuit, Indy joins forces with journalist Gina Lombardi, as they race against time to unravel the mystery before the National Fascist Party can catch up to them.
Instead of following the typical style of the “Wolfenstein” series, MachineGames emphasizes that this isn’t just a shooting game. It leans more towards stealth and melee combat. Despite being their most extensive and longest production to date, featuring over three hours of cutscenes, additional downloadable content will be released post-launch, offering a distinct, story-driven experience.
On December 9th, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms. If you’re a Premium Edition owner, you’ll get early access starting from December 6th. The game will also arrive on PS5 in Spring 2025. For more information, don’t forget to check out our detailed feature.
