As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood happenings and a deep understanding of human resilience, I find myself both intrigued and somewhat amused by Armie Hammer‘s latest venture. It’s been quite a journey for him, to say the least, and his return to the spotlight, or rather, the music video screen, is certainly an interesting twist.
Armie Hammer has a new calling card.
Approximately four years following numerous claims of sexual misconduct and cannibalism by women, the actor is back on television screens.
In a minor part, Hammer made an appearance in the music video for “Typical Squeeze,” by Georgie Leahy, which was published on December 2nd. His role was credited as “Kannibal Ken” in the YouTube video’s end credits.
In his brief appearance, the 38-year-old makes an unexpected entrance from behind the singer’s convertible, dressed in a floral button-up shirt. He subtly moves towards the back of the car to lip sync parts of the song’s lyrics, “Hey, I’m not your usual choice.
As a devoted fan, I found myself gripped with fear as the actor’s chilling character unfolded on screen. Grasping the steering wheel, my knuckles turned white, and in an instant, my car somersaulted. The image that followed was surreal – what seemed like computer-generated human body parts seemingly everywhere on the screen.
Hammer’s embrace of his prior allegations comes over a year after the Los Angeles Police Department dropped a two-year investigation into his sexual misconduct, citing the “complexity” of the relationships left them unable to pursue charges. (Throughout the investigation, Hammer denied all allegations through his lawyer, and earlier this year denied them again on the Club Random podcast, saying the LAPD, “came to the conclusion that there was no evidence that any crime had been committed.”)
Regardless of the damage the incident did to Hammer’s career, he has previously made it clear that he remains unfazed by the specific accusations of cannibalism.
In a recent episode of his podcast “Armie Hammer Time,” the star of “Call Me By Your Name” candidly admitted, “I won’t sugarcoat it.” The cannibal allegations have created quite a stir, but as he put it, “An apology tour isn’t a reality these days. Once something is said about you, people often believe it and swiftly move on to their own concerns. They’ve got their own lives to tend to.
Nevertheless, Hammer, who co-parents Harper (age 9) and Ford (age 7) with his former partner Elizabeth Chambers, has strongly refuted the past claims of cannibalism, labeling them as “extraordinary” or “unbelievable.
Hammer mused, “You’re essentially saying, ‘Huh?’ I couldn’t fathom it. ‘Are you referring to cannibalism? Don’t you realize that to become a cannibal, one must consume human flesh? How on earth could I do such a thing?’ It was utterly strange.
