Today, dear reader, I shall guide you through the labyrinthine pathways of the Zone to reveal the locations of the elusive Journalist Stashes.

12 Journalist Stashes can be found scattered across the map in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Importantly, these stashes are only accessible to players who have purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game.

Gathering supplies is crucial in a survival-horror game such as STALKER 2, and that’s precisely what the Journalist Stashes excel at providing – a variety of useful items including weapons and armor sets.

This manual offers everything you need to find and recognize the contents of these hidden caches, helping you decide if they’re worth investigating.

All Journalist Stash Locations in STALKER 2

In STALKER 2, the locations where the Journalist hides his markers become accessible on your map as soon as you embark on the ‘Seek and You Shall Find’ side mission.

Immediately following my immersion in ‘A Needle in a Haystack’, around the 10-20 minute mark into this incredible adventure, I stumbled upon an engaging side quest.

From the picture provided, you’ll notice that the twelve hiding spots for the items are spread out over the map, potentially making it challenging to collect them simultaneously.

Instead of relying on fast travel, I discovered it more convenient to traverse through the game map at a normal pace. This approach helped me advance smoothly along the campaign and eventually find the Journalist Stash hidden within the explored areas.

These locations have been organized with the least difficult ones first, followed by those that require more effort to obtain.

Journalist Stash Location in Zalissya (Lesser Zone)

In STALKER 2, this is the initial Journalist’s cache you’ll come across. Navigate to the marked spot on your map, where you’ll discover a blue pickup truck nestled close to a wooden residence.

Jump onto the truck’s bonnet and scale the house that way. When you reach the rooftop, move towards the house’s front side and look for a lower level where there’s a small entrance. That’s where your hidden stash can be found.

Journalist Stash Location in Northern Checkpoint (Lesser Zone)

Instead of heading directly north from Zalissya, veer towards the northeastern direction first, following your quest’s guidance. This detour will lead you to a stash along the way, as you’ll eventually reach that spot due to your quest taking you there on the map anyway. So, it’s an opportunity to collect some loot before continuing with your mission!

You will be in a position facing a factory. Identify the ladder, as shown in the upper picture, and ascend to its roof. Then proceed to your right and move down two levels to discover the hidden cache located there. In simpler terms, you are instructed to descend to reach the stash and collect the loot.

Journalist Stash Location in Sphere (Lesser Zone)

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share a hint about locating the final cache in the Lesser Zone. Although the main quest will lead you there, don’t forget to keep an eye out for a distinctive green gate marked with “I.P.S.F.” – that’s your target! Happy exploring!

Go inside the complex and seek out a modest structure with a nearby ladder. Ascend the ladder, and you’ll find the chest containing your valuables directly above.

Journalist Stash Location in Garbage (South)

Navigate to the specified spot on your map. You’ll notice a worn-out, blue and white minibus nearby, if you’ve arrived correctly. The hiding place is within this bus.

Journalist Stash Location in Garbage (North)

Upon reaching the destination, find a worn-out minivan that resembles yours. Next to it, you’ll spot an upturned container. Enter this container and proceed through its exit point.

As soon as you exit the container, head to your right, then leap to reach the hidden cache situated near a massive tire.

Journalist Stash Location in Chemical Plant

Navigate to the location marked on your map where a truck is parked next to a building. Upon arrival, climb onto the truck and squeeze through the open window. Proceed to the room with the damaged wall on the far left side. The treasure you seek can be found in the corner of that room.

Journalist Stash Location in Yaniv

Navigate according to the map’s instructions until you arrive at the railyard. There, you’ll spot a train car equipped with concrete platforms in front of it. Your task is to open the lock on the carriage door, and the stash will be positioned to your left.

Journalist Stash Location in Rostok

Head towards the specified location for Journalist Stash in STALKER 2, using your in-game map. Upon arrival, you’ll find a structure similar to the one depicted in the image.

Walk in, continue straight till you hit a wall, turn left when you find a room with lots of bunk beds. Here, you’ll notice two unusual items; disarm them using your tools. After that, you can collect the last cache.

Journalist Stash Location in Burnt Forest

Navigating through STALKER 2 can be quite challenging at times, but fear not! Here are some tips to help you breeze through this tricky part of the game quickly:

• As you make your way towards the stash, a flash anomaly will blind you for a second and inflict burn damage.
• While this anomaly can be dodged, arm yourself with enough healing items as you will encounter more anomalies ahead.
• Make your way down into a bunker using the ladder. As you reach the bottom of the ladder, take a left and go to the room with the stash.
• Tread carefully as you enter the room as it will have a Fire Poltergeist which will inflict burn damage.
• Defeat the Poltergeist, loot the chest and leave the area as soon as possible, as a Bloodsucker can spawn and take you out.

Journalist Stash Location in Duga

As a seasoned gamer, I can tell you that snagging the Journalist’s Cache in STALKER 2 is no walk in the park. Here’s a simple guide on how to grab it:

• Enter the location using the route as shown in the image above.
• Once you’re in the arms depot, you will enter a room with a variety of weapons and a truck parked inside.
• The room will also have a Burer, which is one of the hardest mutants to kill in STALKER 2. Take extra care while fighting it as it will use the weapons in the room against you.
• Once the Burer is defeated, head to the leftmost corner of the room and turn on the generator with a lamp on it.
• Once that is done, take the staircase going up the control room and press the red button.
• This should open the metal door at the end of the room with the Journalist Stash in it.
• The SA-U Gabon Assault Rifle can be found in the stash, while the SEVA-1 Suit is in a metal locker just a few steps away from the stash.

Journalist Stash Location in Swamp (North)

You may find swamps an area worth holding off on exploring until the storyline advances further, given that it’s situated near the border of the STALKER 2 game map.

Upon arriving there, search for a red tractor, ascend it, and leap onto a nearby small wooden structure. From this structure, leap to an elevated area and destroy the wooden barriers guarding the room using a firearm or knife. Afterward, you can plunder the chest located at the end of the room.

Journalist Stash Location in Swamp (South)

As a fan, here’s a hint: Just follow the provided image to locate the spot. You’ll find a wooden shed there. Upon entering, the Journalist Stash will be on your right-hand side.
