As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must confess, the news about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle leaves me scratching my head a bit. I’ve seen my fair share of tech requirements and release date quirks, but this one takes the cake.
As the clock ticks closer to the early access release of “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” for Premium Edition owners, Bethesda has disclosed the action-adventure game’s PC system requirements. Notably, the game will not run on Nvidia RTX cards (or equivalent alternatives), although complete ray tracing support won’t be available during the early access phase of the game.
Nvidia has announced in a recent update that while Indiana Jones and the Great Circle does include support for full ray tracing (also known as Path Tracing), enhancing shadow, reflection, and global illumination effects, this feature won’t be available until a day-one patch is released on December 9, coinciding with the game’s worldwide launch. Consequently, those who start playing the game ahead of time using its Premium Edition won’t have access to Path Tracing until after the global release, which is a few days later.
Indiana Jones: The Grand Expedition is set to arrive on Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms, with a PS5 version following in the spring. You can find the worldwide launch dates by clicking here.
