As a longtime Dragon Quest enthusiast who’s journeyed through countless dungeons, slain myriad monsters, and sung the praises of Erdrick since the original trilogy graced our screens, I must say that Square Enix has truly hit a home run with the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. This remake has sold over 2 million units in just half a month, a feat that even the mighty Erdrick would be hard-pressed to match!
As a devoted admirer, I must admit that Square Enix has been experiencing a string of unfortunate commercial failures with their major releases lately. However, it’s heartening to see that the success of the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake has broken this pattern for them.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped to share that my recent addition, “Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake,” has surpassed the 2 million mark in sales! This turn-based remastered version hit the shelves just over halfway through November, and it’s clear that it’s been a hit from the get-go. In Japan alone, they managed to sell a staggering 820,000 physical copies on launch day, which gives you an idea of its strong start!

Next year, Square Enix plans to launch the HD-2D Remake of Dragon Quest 1 and 2, hoping for similar sales success. In addition, they have recently disclosed updated sales figures for Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
