With the latest early access launch of “Path of Exile 2“, gamers are uncovering all the fresh elements incorporated into this much-awaited sequel. One such surprise is the integration of the WASD control system, which might not be commonly associated with an Action Role-Playing Game (ARPG) like this one. In this tutorial, we will walk you through how to utilize it effectively!

How to Change to WASD Movement

To start using the WASD keys for movement, simply navigate to the options menu. Typically, this is assigned as the ‘O’ key. Inside the menu, find the ‘Input’ section and select ‘Toggle Keyboard Input Method‘ from there.

To change the “Input Method” option displayed at the top to “WASD”, you just need to follow these steps: The “Input Method” will now switch from “Mouse & Keyboard” to solely “WASD”. Furthermore, all the keybinds below will be updated to match the correct ones for this control scheme.

Following this, simply press the ‘Save’ button located in the bottom-left corner, and you’re all set! Feel free to tinker with the controls within the options menu before closing it, which will give you a sense of whether you’d like to employ it or not.

One thing to note is that you cannot change it through the “Input Method” option without logging back out into the character select screen. Don’t ask us why that is the case when you can just use the button below to achieve the same thing, cause we do not know either.
