From the World of John Wick: Ballerina unveils teaser featuring Lance Reddick

As a movie enthusiast who has grown up with the John Wick franchise, this behind-the-scenes look at Ballerina feels like a bittersweet moment. The late Lance Reddick, whose portrayal of Charon added depth and charm to the series, will be sorely missed on set, but it’s heartening to see him in his final role.

A fresh glimpse into the making of the John Wick spin-off movie titled Ballerina has surfaced, showcasing interview snippets with the late actor Lance Reddick.

In the year 2023, Reddick, who portrayed the character of Charon, the hotel concierge from the action series, sadly passed away. It’s anticipated that his last performance will be seen in the movie ‘Ballerina’.

In the preview, Reddick can be heard commenting on the movie: “Upon reading the script, I wasn’t sure how one could widen the universe in a manner that felt both unique and yet consistent – but they managed to do so.

Additionally, the trailer includes conversations with actors Ana de Armas, Norman Reedus, and Ian McShane, along with director Len Wiseman and producers Chad Stahelski and Erica Lee.

The upcoming movie will be set within the timeframe following “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and before “John Wick: Chapter 4,” providing insight into how Charon, a character presumed dead in Chapter 4, could reappear.

The story will bring in a fresh character to the world of John Wick, named Eve Macarro played by De Armas, who is a ballet-skilled assassin seeking revenge for her father’s demise and aims to follow in John Wick’s footsteps as the Baba Yaga.

In this upcoming addition, we’ll have Keanu Reeves portraying the character John, along with some fresh faces joining the series: Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

In simpler terms, the Ballerina film represents the second separate venture within the John Wick movie series, following the three-episode show The Continental, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last year.

The movie traced the path of McShane’s character, Winston, prior to his role as the manager of The Continental. Colin Woodell portrayed a younger version of the character in this narrative.
