Taylor Swift Gifted Her Eras Tour Team $197 Million in Bonuses

Taylor Swift expressed gratitude towards all those involved in The Eras Tour by providing them with thoughtful bonuses over the course of almost two years.

It’s been uncovered that Taylor distributed a staggering $197 million in bonuses to a wide range of individuals, from those working offstage like truck drivers and caterers, to those performing onstage with her such as her dancers and band members. This generous gesture also extended to the merchandise team, production staff at various levels, carpenters, choreographers, hair, makeup, and wardrobe teams, physical therapists, security personnel, and her video crew – just to name a few recipients.

During Taylor Swift’s last show on her Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada, on Dec. 8, it was confirmed that the bonus amount was set. The company responsible for organizing Taylor’s concerts, Taylor Swift Touring, revealed to The New York Times that she sold a staggering $2 billion worth of tickets during the tour. This figure surpasses the total ticket sales of any other concert tour ever recorded by more than double.

Actually, the figure you see, excluding merchandise and ticket resale earnings, indicates that Taylor Swift returned close to 10% of her concert ticket revenues to the organizers of the tour.

On multiple occasions, the 34-year-old has shown affection towards her team during the duration of the Eras Tour. Following the completion of the initial North American leg in August 2023, it was revealed that Taylor Swift rewarded her fellow workers with a generous $55 million bonus.

During her last performance at BC Place Stadium on December 8, as Taylor pointed out, it required the combined efforts of numerous individuals to stage such a grand event.

She expressed to the packed audience, “We’ve traversed every corner of the globe with this tour, and we’ve experienced an incredible array of adventures along the way.” She added, “It has been the most thrilling, potent, exhilarating, intense, and demanding experience I’ve ever encountered in my lifetime.

She went on to say, “Tonight, we’re playing our final show for you, and let me tell you, we have the incredible opportunity of performing for more than 10 million people.

During one of her unexpected final tunes, the performer subtly acknowledged the tour by altering a significant lyric in the song titled “Long Live.

During her piano performance of the “Speak Now” album track, Taylor modified the lyrics from “It was the end of a decade / But the start of an age,” to “It was the end of an era / But the start of an age.” In simpler terms, she switched “decade” with “era” in her song lyrics.
