As someone who has traversed through the labyrinthine puzzles of The Talos Principle back in 2014, I can hardly contain my excitement for its return, reawakened and more resplendent than ever. With the original game’s expansion and a brand-new chapter, not to mention the Puzzle Editor that will surely unleash a torrent of creativity, this is an adventure I simply cannot miss!
Just last year, we enjoyed playing The Talos Principle 2, and it won’t be long before the original game, developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, returns with an upgrade in quality.
The game titled “The Talos Principle: Reawakened” has been officially announced. You can watch the trailer for it below. This remastered version of the 2014 puzzle game is an expanded one, and it includes a whole new chapter as additional content. In this new chapter, the story of Alexandra Drennan unfolds, who grapples with deep existential questions while conducting the first critical test within the Simulation.
In Unreal Engine 5, we’re not just rebuilding the game but enhancing it with improved visuals, technical aspects, quality-of-life changes, and gameplay improvements. The original expansion, “The Road to Gehenna,” will be part of the remastered version too. Moreover, a brand new feature called the Puzzle Editor will be introduced, allowing skilled modders to create unique worlds and challenges, promoting creativity and ensuring a vibrant future for “The Talos Principle.
2025 will see the launch of The Talos Principle: Reawakened on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers (PC).
