As a lifelong Call of Duty enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement! The prospect of three classic CoD games – Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – potentially joining Xbox Game Pass is a dream come true. Having grown up with these games, they hold a special place in my heart, and I’ve been longing to revisit their glory days on my Xbox.
Indications point towards the potential introduction of three beloved Call of Duty titles on Xbox Game Pass within a short period. The debut of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in October marked the most significant addition to Game Pass in all of 2024. However, fans have been eagerly anticipating more classic CoD games since Microsoft took over Activision. It seems that some of these older games could be making their way to Game Pass as soon as this week.
Three classic Call of Duty games – the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – have popped up on the Microsoft Store for PC today. Previously, these games had been playable on PC in some form or another, but they were not available through the Microsoft Store. This change indicates that Microsoft might be moving them over to make them accessible via Xbox Game Pass.
Currently, Microsoft hasn’t disclosed its strategies for Xbox Game Pass during the last half of December. If they are indeed planning to add Call of Duty games to Game Pass, we might learn more about it soon. Apart from Xbox’s official website, The Game Awards could be a good source of additional information as it is reportedly going to feature significant involvement from Xbox.
Apart from that, subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass service have just received one of its most significant releases this year – the game titled “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle“. You can download it right now on both Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms. Critics have been giving it high praises, making it a notable addition to the end-of-year offerings for Game Pass members.
