As a dedicated follower of sports and celebrity news, I can’t help but feel a pang of concern for these young athletes who are constantly in the public eye, yet still find themselves victims of such unfortunate incidents like burglaries.
Joe Burrow got an assist from Olivia Ponton during a scary incident at his house this week.
On December 9, when the Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback was away for a game against the Dallas Cowboys, a burglary occurred at his residence in Ohio, as reported by a model featured in Sports Illustrated.
Based on a report from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, as reported by TopMob News, Olivia discovered that Joe’s bedroom window was smashed and the room was in disarray upon her arrival. This led the 22-year-old to contact her mother, which subsequently triggered a call to 911 about the incident.
Upon arrival of law enforcement officers, they noticed signs of forced entry through a back window on the ground floor of the residence and a disarrayed living space. Subsequently, the Criminal Intelligence Section (CIS) was summoned to the scene, where they took photographs and gathered proof for investigation.
The report additionally mentioned that since Joe was away, the 28-year-old lacked the ability to offer specific details about the items taken from the house.
Regarding the relationship between the model and the athlete, the report mentioned that Miss Ponton works for Mr. Burrow, and provided an incomplete list of potentially missing items.
The investigation is currently ongoing, with the sheriff’s report saying that deputies on the scene reached out to Joe’s neighbors “to collect any surveillance footage of possible suspects.”
neither Joe nor Olivia have made any public statements regarding the burglary yet; our team at TopMob News has contacted their representatives for a comment but haven’t received one in response so far.
Regrettably, I find myself in a similar predicament as other NFL players lately. Recently, the homes of Travis Kelce, our Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, and Patrick Mahomes, our quarterback, were burglarized on October 6th and 7th respectively, in Leawood, Kan., and Belton, Mo., respectively.
According to a report obtained by TMZ, during the burglary at Travis’ residence, an amount of $20,000 in cash was stolen and the back door sustained damage.
After the burglary, Patrick, who resides in the estate with his pregnant wife Brittany Mahomes, their three-year-old daughter Sterling, and two-year-old son Bronze, openly discussed the tough period they’ve been going through as a family.
During a November 13 press conference, the 29-year-old expressed his feelings by saying, “It’s really disheartening,” he stated. “I’m finding it tough. I can’t reveal much since the investigation is not yet complete. Needless to say, it’s an undesirable situation for anyone, but experiencing it personally is even more distressing.
