In the most recent episode of Coronation Street, David Platt (portrayed by Jack P Shepherd) uncovered some worrying information concerning his spouse, Shona (played by Julia Goulding).
Following a major argument triggered by David’s dishonesty, Shona momentarily found herself in a romantic liaison with Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts. Later on, she felt the urge to revisit him, but ultimately changed her mind and returned home instead.
Shona claimed that her fall down the stairs had led to a fractured arm, though it was actually not true.
However, as Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) burnt Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) vehicle following an intoxicated escapade by Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), it appeared that these two occurrences might be linked.
Shona shared with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that she had a close call with a careening vehicle, and he advised her to file a report about the incident.
Kit discovered that Daisy was accountable and chose to halt matters to shield her from potential consequences.
After Shona and Adam departed from the police station hand in hand, he drove her back home and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. At the same time, David watched with a hint of suspicion as they shared this affectionate moment.
In the Platt family home, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) and her fiance, Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson), shared that they plan to relocate to France following their upcoming Christmas nuptials.
Initially, David showed no interest, but when his nephew Harry (portrayed by novice actor Carter J Murphy) arrived carrying money that turned out to be from David’s hidden cache of ill-gotten funds, it appeared that Jesse discreetly suggested the money was being saved for Shona’s Christmas present.
Afterward, Jesse encouraged David to agree to a deal where he could get rid of the money burden, yet still have enough for purchasing the house. Eventually, they came to terms on this arrangement.
However, when David discovered Shona’s torn, blood-spotted coat in the trash can, it left him puzzled about her recent activities. Is Shona going to disclose the truth?
