Mafia: The Old Country Ad Leaks Summer 2025 Release Window

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt and countless hours spent roaming the virtual streets of GTA, I must say, the leak of Mafia: The Old Country has me more excited than a Sicilian at a cannoli bakery. The promise of a prequel set in 1900s Sicily, with authentic voice acting to boot, is music to my ears. And let’s not forget the tantalizing hint of knife fights and horse-riding – it’s like HBO’s Godfather series came to life!

Every year leading up to The Game Awards, there are usually some leaked announcements. Today, it’s the turn of “Mafia: The Old Country,” which has had its release window accidentally revealed in an ad shared by @DJari2020 on Twitter. It’s set to launch in Summer 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with wishlists expected to become available soon.

The advertisement features both gameplay scenes and cinematics, along with the game’s cover-based movement system. This prequel, set in 1900s Sicily and featuring authentic Sicilian voice acting, appears to center around a younger Don Salieri character. Additionally, you may notice intense close-quarters knife fights and horseback riding sequences throughout the gameplay.

At 4:30 PM PST today, The Game Awards is set to unveil the world premiere, giving us a chance to witness extensive gameplay. It’s exciting to speculate about when we might see Borderlands 4, which will be showcased with a fresh trailer and in-depth gameplay. Keep an eye out for more updates until then.
