Part of the reason for this could be linked to an earlier cyberattack that hit Kadokawa, resulting in a data breach. It’s rumored that employees were dissatisfied with how the company’s leadership handled the situation, as they reportedly failed to address the public following the leak of personal information.
As a gamer, I’m crossing my fingers that Sony’s takeover might lead to some new leadership over at Kadokawa. Currently, Takeshi Natsuno is the guy in charge, stepping into the role last year in 2021.
