Yakuza Maker Is Bringing Back SEGA's Legendary Virtua Fighter Franchise

As a seasoned gamer with over three decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia when I hear about the revival of a classic fighting game series like Virtua Fighter. The first time I laid hands on that arcade cabinet, it was love at first sight – or should I say punch? The fluidity of movement, the depth of strategy, and the sheer thrill of landing a perfect uppercut were experiences I’ll never forget.

As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share that a fresh installment of Virtua Fighter is currently underway at Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, renowned for creating the Yakuza series. We’re eagerly anticipating a deeper look into its development during an upcoming event known as VF Direct.

In the meantime, we’re waiting for fresh details, but currently, our focus is on a revamped appearance of the series’ lead character, Akira, as seen in a video featuring his combat with seasoned adversary Sarah Bryant. Once new information becomes available, we will promptly update this article.
