As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I find myself in awe of the diverse experiences that each of these individuals is embracing this weekend.
After the whirlwind of early December game launches and The Game Awards wrapping up, it’s time for me to unwind and embrace the holiday spirit. There’s an abundance of games I’ve been eagerly waiting to dive into, so here’s what I’ll be immersing myself in over this weekend.
Aaron Bayne
Just now, I started playing the roguelike game [Redacted], which is set in the universe of The Callisto Protocol. It appears to be an enjoyable mini-adventure, and I’m eager to invest more time into it. By the way, it’s the weekend for season 5 of The Finals, so the intense grinding commences again!

Lately, with PlayStation marking its 30th anniversary, I find myself reminiscing and revisiting some of my beloved games from each era. This coming weekend, I plan to immerse myself in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, having just completed the first game on the challenging Crushing mode.

This weekend, as I’m away from home, I’ve decided to pull out my long-neglected PlayStation Vita for some entertainment. I might dive back into Steamworld Dig 2, or perhaps replay Guacamelee! for a while.

This week, I was planning to kick off Black Myth: Wukong, but the postponement of the latest update with added features and PS5 Pro compatibility until Saturday forced me to hold off. However, I can’t wait any longer! This weekend will mark my first playthrough of the game. Additionally, I’ve decided to dive into Okami, a game that’s been on my backlog for quite some time now. With the sequel recently confirmed, it feels like the perfect moment to experience this title for the very first time.

Man, I’m missing out on some serious gaming time with my PS5 right now. It’s killing me that I can’t dive headfirst into Marvel Rivals and Infinity Nikki like I want to. For the moment, I’m making do with my phone games, but there’s just something about playing those big screen console games that takes things to a whole new level. Here’s hoping I get my hands on it soon!

Astro Bot’s latest holiday-themed DLC update has dropped, which means I’ll likely be sporting a big grin while playing it. Additionally, I want to immerse myself in Balatro once more and see if I can achieve some extraordinary scores.
