Marvel Rivals Guide – How to Get XP Quickly

Marvel Rivals Guide – How to Get XP Quickly

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the leveling system in Marvel Rivals has left me scratching my head more than once. I remember when grinding for XP was an option, not a necessity to even enter the competitive play arena!

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that in Marvel Rivals, my progression is not only about enjoying the game but also about climbing the ranks to access competitive play and its ongoing season. It’s a grind for new players like me, as we need to level up our accounts all the way to rank 10 before we can even step foot on the ranked ladder. And that’s just account XP; the Battle Pass has its unique progression system too.

This manual provides comprehensive information on how to accumulate account level and Battle Pass advancements, enabling you to climb the ranks swiftly and effectively within the game Marvel Rivals.

Quick Play For Rank XP

Jumping in couldn’t be easier with the Quick Play feature! It pairs you with players of varying skills, ensuring a diverse and dynamic gaming experience. Not only do we aim for team success, but your individual performance also reaps rewards. Each match presents opportunities to earn Experience Points (XP) that contribute to your account rank. From outright kills to supportive assists, or even being named MVP, every match offers chances to boost your XP and climb the ranks!

Kills are clearly the largest contributor towards account rank XP gains.

Chrono Tokens And The Battle Pass

The Marvel Rivals’ Battle Pass advancement stands out because instead of automatically rising by playing and triumphing in games, it advances primarily by completing day-to-day tasks, along with challenges and events that are periodically rolled out.

These tasks are usually tailored for individual heroes, encouraging the utilization of specific skills and attributes. Some of these tasks can be repetitive, as they may necessitate certain conditions within the arena, such as employing a Team-Up skill where another player needs to be a particular hero in order to execute it. Completing daily tasks, challenges, and events will yield you purple Chrono Tokens as a reward.

  • Dailies confer 30 of these tokens each, with four becoming available everyday for 48 hours, for a total of 120 Chrono Tokens each day.
  • Challenges drop less regularly, are more involved, and only reward you with 80 Chrono Tokens each.
  • Season Events can earn you 100 Chrono Tokens each, while rotating over the course of entire seasons.
  • Both Dailies and Challenges offer up to three refreshes each, if the options on offer are unsatisfactory, and each of those refresh attempts are reset 24 hours after initial use.

It’s good to know that numerous tasks can be accomplished during practice games against AI instead. Regarding these assignments, you can monitor their progress under the ‘Missions’ tab within the ‘Season’ section, although this can only be done when not engaged in actual matches.

The Achievements section, distinct from Steam or Xbox achievements, is hidden away either in the Career area or the player’s profile page. Within this section, you’ll discover several categories, with two of them (namely ‘Galacta’s Guide’ and ‘Rivalry Rising’) featuring tasks that don’t change over time and can grant 200 Chrono Tokens each upon completion. These tasks are primarily designed for player-versus-player gameplay, unless otherwise mentioned.

These Chrono Tokens can then be spent on unlocking pages in the Battle Pass.

Moreover, you can exchange any obtained or earned gold Lattices for Chrono Tokens at a rate of one Lattice for one Token. At present, there are 300 tokens available in this season and 600 in upcoming passes. Converting Lattice to Chrono Tokens can significantly aid in accumulating the necessary tokens for completing the Battle Pass. As Lattices do not expire, the best strategy is to leverage promotional offers that convert Lattices to Chrono Tokens at a better rate, up to 1:2.5, with additional percentage-based ‘acquisition bonuses’ on top. This can be achieved by purchasing the advanced Luxury Battle Pass.

That is everything there is to know about grinding XP to level both account rank and the Battle Pass in Marvel Rivals.
