Elden Ring Has Shipped Over 28.6 Million Units Worldwide

As a seasoned gamer who has navigated countless virtual realms over the past few decades, I must say that Elden Ring has truly left its indelible mark on the gaming landscape. FromSoftware, with their masterful blend of intricate gameplay mechanics and immersive storytelling, has crafted an experience that transcends mere entertainment and becomes a journey etched into the annals of gaming history.

Over the past 15 years, FromSoftware has experienced numerous peaks, but none of their games have achieved the broad critical and financial acclaim that Elden Ring currently enjoys. In fact, this open-world action RPG is still selling robustly, even two years after its debut.

In a press statement that accompanied the unveiling of the standalone multiplayer spinoff titled Elden Ring: Nightreign, FromSoftware disclosed that as of September 30, Elden Ring had been shipped and sold worldwide to the tune of 28.6 million units, an increase from the previously announced 25 million sales in June. Simultaneously, the action RPG’s expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, achieved a remarkable 5 million unit sales within only three days after its launch.

If Elden Ring keeps up its strong sales rate, it likely won’t take much longer before it reaches the significant 30 million mark. The sales performance of Shadow of the Erdtree, however, remains uncertain as FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco have been silent on updates for months.

As a gamer eagerly waiting, I can’t contain my excitement as Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to release in the year 2025! This epic adventure will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. To top it off, a closed network test has been planned for February. I can hardly wait!
