EastEnders airs outcome of Martin Fowler and Stacey Slater kiss in early iPlayer episode

As a long-time follower of EastEnders, I must say this latest episode left me with a mix of emotions. The plot twist involving Martin Fowler and Stacey Slater had me on the edge of my seat.

Heed this: The upcoming EastEnders episode on Tuesday, 17th December may reveal plot twists if you’re watching on BBC iPlayer or BBC One. Proceed with caution!

In the recent episode of EastEnders, James Bye’s character, Martin Fowler, experienced a sense of rejection when he attempted to kiss his former spouse, Stacey Slater, portrayed by Lacey Turner.

Following the announcement that a liver donor was located for Roman, Louisa Lytton’s son, the physician clarified that the liver turned out to be non-functional.

Nonetheless, the tests confirmed that Martin was a suitable match, and without hesitation, he consented to donate in order to extend Roman’s life. Meanwhile, an emotional Ruby questioned whether he was fully committed to this decision.

In a heated reaction, Stacey’s daughter, Lily Slater (formerly Lillia Turner), expressed her anger, as she perceived Martin favoring Roman over his other kids. Additionally, she felt that Martin failed to thoroughly investigate the operation at hand.

At the hospital, Lily sternly told Ruby to stay away from her family, but Ruby remained composed, explaining that Martin’s proposal might be Roman’s sole hope for recovery.

Afterwards, Lily reconciled with Martin, and later on, they both had an honest conversation discussing his true emotions prior to the surgery, as shared by Stacey.

Martin admitted his fear that the process might not turn out right, but Stacey encouraged him to maintain a positive mindset, praising him for his bravery in taking on such an endeavor.

Stacey warmly expressed her affection for him, which prompted Martin to kiss her. Caught off guard, Stacey withdrew slightly, sensing that Martin might have acted on impulse due to his feelings.

Martin contended that it was not as he suggested, and emphasized that he’d never found it possible to share deeply with anyone else quite like he did with Stacey.

Stacey fretted over whether reuniting was the best option, and, hurt by her rejection, Martin chose to leave.

Following the event, Stacey appears puzzled, but her mother, Jean Slater (played by Gillian Wright), provides some insight, and urges Stacey to visit Martin promptly to avoid missing the opportunity.

Will Stacey make amends with Martin, and will the former couple reunite?
